FAITH IN ACTION
FAITH STATEMENT
Our foundation is built on the unchanging truth of the Word of God. At Nest Hockey Academy, we believe that spiritual growth is just as essential as athletic and academic development. Through intentional discipleship, Christ‑centered teaching, and daily encouragement, we guide athletes to deepen their relationship with Jesus and understand who they are in Him. We challenge students to live out their faith with integrity, humility, and purpose—on the ice, in the classroom, and in every area of life. Our desire is to see young men and women strengthened in their walk with Christ, equipped to lead with character, and empowered to reflect God’s love in all they do.
CHAPEL
Every Wednesday, our entire school community gathers for Chapel—a dedicated time of worship, reflection, and spiritual growth. Students and staff come together to lift their voices in praise, hear relevant and encouraging messages, and engage with the Word of God in a meaningful way. Chapel also gives students the opportunity to step forward, share what the Lord has placed on their hearts, and speak life into their peers. We pray together, learn together, and explore how Scripture continues to shape our lives today. Chapel is more than a weekly tradition—it’s a cornerstone of who we are and how we grow as a Christ‑centered community.
WARRIOR WEEKEND
Warrior Weekend is our annual kickoff event held just before the school year begins—a powerful, community‑building experience designed to immerse students in what the Nest culture is all about. Over the course of the weekend, students stay on campus under the care of approved chaperones and are placed into mixed‑age teams that compete in a variety of physical, mental, and strategic challenges. These activities build teamwork, leadership, and school spirit as students work together to rise to the top.
Beyond the competition, Warrior Weekend is a time of spiritual growth and connection. Students engage in worship, hear meaningful messages, and reflect on how faith shapes their lives both on and off the ice. It’s a weekend filled with energy, unity, and purpose—an impactful tradition that sets the tone for the year ahead and strengthens the bonds of our Nest Hockey Academy community.
SERVE OPPORTUNITIES
At Nest Hockey Academy, serving others is an essential part of who we are. As a graduation requirement, every student completes 100 hours of community service over their four years of high school. These hours can be fulfilled through Nest‑led service projects or through approved opportunities with nonprofit organizations students may already be connected to.
We believe in being the hands and feet of Jesus—meeting needs, showing compassion, and making a meaningful impact in our community. Throughout the year, our students participate in a variety of service initiatives that help them grow in empathy, leadership, and purpose.
Some of the organizations we have partnered with include Thomas Promise, Operation Christmas Child, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Redeeming Love Foster Closet and local food pantry ministries, with plans to continue expanding our outreach. Through these experiences, students learn the value of giving back and discover the joy of serving others with humility and love.
