Academics With Purpose!

At Nest Hockey Academy, we offer a dynamic and personalized academic experience designed to develop the mind, body, and spirit of our student-athletes. Our hybrid, independent pacing learning model serves students in grades 5–12, combining online and in-class instruction with formal, informal, and experiential learning.

Students engage in project-based learning, working in small teams to solve real-world problems through creativity, collaboration, and hands-on innovation. Our curriculum is aligned with Florida’s B.E.S.T. Standards and supported by on-site certified teachers and academic coaches who guide students through rigorous, competency-driven learning.

Graduation Requirements

To graduate, Nest students must:

Academic Integrity Policy

Academic Integrity Policy

Honesty and integrity in the completion and presentation of coursework is critical for authentic assessment of student learning.

Student Honor Code

Nest Hockey Academy encourages students toward a life governed by honesty and respect for the work of others. Students are required to abide by the following honor pledge when submitting coursework and assessments: “On my honor, I have neither given nor received unauthorized help on this assignment.”

Cheating

Cheating is defined as representing someone else’s work as your own or assisting someone in representing someone else’s work as their own. Cheating includes, but is not limited to, copying someone else’s work, giving someone your work to copy, exceeding time limits on tests or assignments, using unauthorized materials or resources (copies of tests or answer keys, etc.) to complete coursework, passing information about tests and quizzes to other students, use of AI and similar programs for assignments, etc. Students caught cheating on coursework will result in disciplinary actions.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism is defined as copying information from a source without providing a reference to the work. Students caught plagiarizing coursework will result in disciplinary actions.

National Honor Society/National Junior Honor Society

  • NHS/NJHS recognizes students who excel not only in academics, but also in leadership, service, character, and—at the junior level—citizenship. NJHS will serve our middle school students, and NHS will be open to our high schoolers.

Becoming a member is a true honor, and it opens the door to scholarship opportunities, community involvement, and leadership development. We’ll be sharing more details soon, including the selection process and how students can apply.
  • We’re thrilled to bring this nationally respected program to our school and to celebrate the incredible potential in our students.
